To be free, you cannot change your cage. You have to change yourself.
— Lana Wachowski
Freedom needs room to grow. In your mind, life, schedule.
Start giving it that space, and you’ll be gobsmacked by what comes next. So, today, I’m giving you a taste of that.
Here’s how to use this week’s minimalist challenge page.
Choose any area on the page (upper left, bottom center, wherever) and start writing about a way you're free now that you weren’t 10 years ago. Just see what comes out, whirl around the center F, and let the words fall onto the page.
When that thought seems finished, start writing (in another section of the page) about an area in your life where you want to be freer. This could be a single sentence or a whole truckload of thoughts. Go deep if it feels right.
With whatever space is left on the blank page, doodle until it’s all filled up. Yes, you’re allowed to draw penises (I’d honestly be kind of disappointed if you didn’t.)
Freewriting is cool even if especially if you don’t consider yourself a writer (and it literally has the word free in it — I honestly didn’t even plan that).
Ok, I can literally see a dolphin. Gotta go.
Freedom’s calling. ✌️
PS: These Wednesday challenges are always free, so if you find them funny, useful, offensive, etc., please share them with one other dude in your life. Look, I even added a button to make it easy!
